 There was a time in our history when the insatiable desire of men became dedicated to the concept that in order to fully exploit the masses, the human spirit itself must be compromised to turn people intellectually and emotionally into slaves…a process that we now know as “Despiritualization.” And the process they created to accomplish these heinous goals was so diabolical and so all encompassing that those who had the resources to fight against this process were by and large sucked into it, sometimes without their even knowing it. So countries like the United States with all its productive capacities started churning out a steady stream of dehumanized yuppies, suburbanites and dim wits who were specifically programmed and brainwashed to be compliant cogs in this despiritualization process. Other techniques were also employed to impose upon those who had not fallen into the cultural traps. A combination of Social Darwinism and elemental suppression made life for decent people in this culture nearly impossible to navigate, life for them became such a burden that they rarely had enough time to take care of themselves, let alone have a societal concern. Is this the end of human culture…are we to become a race of beings dedicated only to destruction and formed from a mold designed by industrialist super villains? The answer is “yes.” Those of you out there in the middle of the road, or trampled on by this societal regression, or growing sour from the hypocrisy and stifling omni-present commercialism or merely suffering from the heartbreak of psoriasis…we can huddle around the campfire and tell our horror stories and otherwise keep each other company while the herd is thinned out. Perhaps enough of you will congregate and become enlightened to make a difference and grow towards a massive spiritual awakening. Flabby Hoffman cannot make that journey for you…but he can make it with you. And so the battle limps forward, held together with spit and chicken wire…until the foul minded taskmasters close down this beefy super-sized meal of unconditional love which God herself has predestined to exist in this time and space as Flabby Blogman. A blog so thick you'll be tempted to use a fork…but use a spoon, you'll want to get every drop!
FOUR THINGS
1. A lot of people scoff and guffaw when you start to talk about their being a shadow government type unseen cohesive element forcing the world into a global military industrial police state and say that it's hooey and malarkey just because we cannot see it out in the open. Well you can't see God either. I just believe in her existence by observing the elements of her efforts, the results of her work and the sense of her presence within my life. I know that she is there. I don't need to see God to know that she exists! Scoff at that malarkey…you insufferable pompous windbag nobody!
2. Wellstone and Carnahan…were they the victim of assassination? Their senate seats now belong to the Republicans, in fact their seats are the ones that gave the Republicans control of the Senate giving them the trifecta of controlling all three branches of government the Legislative, Executive and Judicial. At the same time they wield this power in conjunction with a virtual stranglehold on media and the means of production having allowed the rise of the conglomerate driven oligarchy. This means that the American people now live in a totalitarian state, controlled solely by the opinions of one small group of unilateral exploitative robber barons.
3. So many times have we seen a Joe Montana take his team to he promised land against odds that would make even a 500 pound gorilla mess himself; with pinpoint passing, an uncanny command of the intangibles and an insatiable desire to stomp the competition, he single handedly waltzes his team down the gridiron in crunch time and directly into that hallowed hall of immortal titans rendering the immortals of Asgard and Mount Olympus as fodder for his mighty appetite. Whoa Nellie!

THREE THINGS 1. Darn it…I'll never get this website to be popular…maybe I could do some online makeovers or talk about Hollywood gossip. Let's try it. What gigantic fat as a house lesbo was seen tooling around tinsel town making love to Eddie Murphy's feet in a red Testarosa? None other than Oprah Winfrey!!! Whoa…the website counter is flying like crazy already! 2. Consider the Spanish/American War. In the months preceding this conflict, a media oligarch named William Randolph Hearst, who owned a majority of the prominent newspapers in the United States , started a campaign of anti-Spanish slander and public gerrymandering for a U.S. war against them. Much of what Hearst's papers presented was fabricated or manufactured and manipulated to give the false appearance as evidence to influence the public to think they way Hearst wanted them to. This practice was actually given a name “Yellow Journalism.” At the time newspapers were the only real media, so they were much more important than they are today. Once Hearst had ramped up the desire for war in the public, all it would take was an incident to spark off a conflict that the public would be bound to support. That incident came in the form of the sinking of the battleship Maine . Blamed on the Spanish, the destruction of the Maine was all the U.S. Government needed to convince an American public softened up by Hearst's propaganda that war was justified. The U.S. dispatched the Spanish in short order and took over Cuba and the Philippines . The only problem is that most historians are convinced that either the U.S. military blew up the Maine on purpose to blame the Spanish or the Maine just happened to blow up due to a technical accident and the U.S. knew this, covered it up, and blamed it on the Spanish because they were feeling imperialistic. Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it.
3. Sure the United States is the only industrialized nation in the world without national health care, but we also have the lowest taxes of any industrialized nation in the world.

6 THINGS 1. The NRA held a convention in 04/04 which they lovingly dubbed “Freedom's Steel.” Here is my idea. Since NRA members love their guns so much, even though these guns keep finding their way into the hands of people that kill (accidental gun deaths, criminals, Iraqi insurgents, Robert Blake, etc.), and since we are having trouble finding enough troops to send to Iraq (9 out of 10 available army divisions stuck in Afghan and Iraq theater already); then why not send the NRA over to Iraq so they can finally stop talking about protecting their 2 nd amendment rights and start imposing them on some humans. Its win win! The NRA gets to shoot their guns off instead of their mouths and the soldiers get some much needed relief.
2. Since everyone on earth is pre-destined to at some point die, then isn't the act of giving birth murder? Parents are responsible for bringing a being into this world…they know that bringing a life into this world means that that life will eventually expire, yet they do it anyway. It's premeditated murder one. I think that anyone that is responsible for giving birth should be brought up on murder charges and immediately sent to jail. They say abortion is murder, well so is birth…if there were no more children conceived eventually there would be no more death at all. I think that's the way to go. Let's end death completely! Birth is Murder!
3. Speaking of putting people to death…the U.S. is still number three in the world for the execution of its citizens in the world behind the Peoples Republic of China and Iran . If you throw in Vietnam , between these four countries, 84% of the world's executions took place. That's good company we're in. My favorite stat is this however. The practice of executing childhood offenders (offenders committing their offense before the age of 18) is one prohibited by international law. Since 1990, Amnesty International has tracked 35 such executions in the world. 19 of these were executions carried out by the United States . The second place prize for this was taken by Iran with only 8 such executions. China , our other partner in the triple headed echelon of executions was only found to be guilty of 1 such execution. The United States is the undisputed king of execution when it comes to offing incorrigible children. 4. We all know that interest rates are at a 40 year low, and have been for an unprecedented amount of time. What we do not know is why. Is the economic crisis we are in actually the worst we have had in forty years, or are rates being kept low due to the knowledge that the tax and borrower Republicans are in charge and Greenspan knows that Republicans are synonymous with record setting stifling debt accumulation and he is trying to prevent the debt interest from strangling us and destroying the right wing revolution? We are in uncharted territory when it comes to monetary policy in our country. Recently inflation has finally started to rear its head and I think this has given us a clue to where we are heading. With inflation on the horizon and interest rates that have been forced to such phenomenal lows for so long, a truly objective person would think that the free ride is over and to at least lightly apply the brakes to the money supply with a gradual rate increase. Especially with the tight job market which means that earnings increases are greatly diminished from what they would be in times of relatively high employment…people just aren't getting the types of raises, bonuses and commissions they were in the 90's. Additionally there are so many people out of work that cannot afford inflation to whittle away at their limited purchasing power. To make interest rates this low was frightening to begin with, but now that inflation has finally arrived it is outright dangerous. But it is an election year…and here is our lesson. Greenspan was appointed by Reagan, he owes all his considerable power to the right wing revolution. To back stab Bush in the middle of his so called economic recovery with only a few months to go before the final nail in the American police state coffin is driven in is just not an option for him. This is another example of dogma taking the place of reason in America …now will you join in the resistance? It is unlikely.

05/03/04 4 THINGS 1. Why do I feel nervous about going to a doctor for a check up. I spend a ton of money on insurance, but I cannot risk the expense of anything that might not be covered because I have spent all my extra money on paying for the policy.
2. Will I ever find the time to go through all those boxes I have in storage…or the courage to throw them out. 3. There is no emphatic holiday in America between New Years and Memorial Day…one that everybody gets off. I propose that March 1 st should be a second Labor Day. Easter's a real good holiday for the working class…the elite industrialists get to sell you a bunch of candy, baskets, eggs and food coloring and you don't even get a day off of work. President's Day and MLK Birthday aren't even really holidays for more than one or two people out of 100. Five Months without a holiday is way too long.
4. Liberal Media Hokum. When will someone actually show me a specific connection between ownership of media in the U.S. and someone who has even the slightest ounce of liberal tendencies…The AP and Reuters, where everyone gets their stories from, are regularly criticized for their sanitation of the facts…Rupert Murdoch (Fox) – potential neo-Nazi crypto fascist has strong ties to Republican ultra right Newt Gingrich and others; General Electric (NBC, Universal Motion Pictures) – Top defense contractors in U.S; Clear Channel, the media behemoth that owns more than half a dozen radio stations in every major market, an overwhelming share of outdoor media and now controls most of the larger live performance venues in the country, dictates what music everyone in the country is going to hear using a method so conservative and repressive that is reminiscent of Stalin. Why in fact is it that we proudly beat our chest about the strength brought by the competition of capitalism, and yet the most critical industry that protects our democracy and has the most immediate impact on our minds and emotions…namely the media, is controlled not by free markets, but by a convoluted system of reallocating the profit of inflated prices of consumer goods. The use of advertising dollars to support media is destroying our democracy. It lets these conservative dehumanizing corporations set the agenda for our culture and actions. The content of television is not only contoured by the insanely pathological yellow journalism and social engineering designed by the world's most insane megalomaniac multi-billionaires, but it is also turned into a pablum paradise by corporate sponsors who insist that no one on television express any true creativity and independence of thought creating a series of whitewashed clones both on the performance side of the TV and the viewership side.
